Youssef Chouhoud (he/him) is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Christopher Newport University, where he is affiliated with the Reiff Center for Human Rights and Conflict Resolution.
His research in the United States and the Middle East models support for core democratic norms, with a focus on political tolerance and hate speech. Chouhoud also has an extensive record of public scholarship on Arab and Muslim American public opinion. In 2025, his co-authored book, On the Significance of Religion for Climate Change, will be published by Routledge.
