PRRI’s newest survey exploring Americans’ views on

PRRI’s newest survey exploring Americans’ views on ICE and the Trump administration’s immigration policies finds that one-third of Americans hold favorable views of ICE officers (33%), down from 39% in September 2025.

The majority of Americans (57%) agree that the surge of ICE officers in places like Minnesota is making communities less safe. Most Democrats (88%) and independents (64%) agree, compared with 24% of Republicans.
