PRRI Research Associate Juhem Navarro-Rivera will present a paper titled “Latinos and Polarization in American Politics.” Navarro-Rivera will argue that there are two distinct Latino electorates: a liberal bloc on economic/social issues and a socially/economically conservative bloc. The existence of these distinct blocs means that Latinos are a polarized group, even if these poles are not equal.
