Dr. Bryan N. Massingale (he/him) holds the James and Nancy Buckman Chair in Applied Christian Ethics at Fordham University. A priest of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee, Father Massingale is a leader in Catholic theology and ethics as the current president of the Society of Christian Ethics. He is also a past convener of the Black Catholic Theological Symposium and a former president of the Catholic Theological Society of America. He is the author of the award-winning book Racial Justice and the Catholic Church (Orbis, 2010) and is a public intellectual who frequently addresses issues of racial and sexual justice. Father Massingale earned an M.Div. from St. Francis Seminary, a licentiate in sacred theology from the Catholic University of America, and a doctorate in sacred theology from Academia Alphonsianum in Rome.
