We’re pleased to introduce PRRI’s Summer 2025 Interns! These sharp and engaged students will support PRRI’s work to conduct and disseminate nonpartisan, independent public opinion research at the intersection of religion, culture, and politics. We’re excited to have them on board this summer.
Sarah Banholzer
Summer 2025 Communications Intern
School: George Washington University
Program: MA in Media & Strategic Communications (May 2026)
Hometown: Pleasanton, CA
Sarah is currently completing the first year of her Master’s degree in Media and Strategic Communications at the School of Media and Public Affairs at the George Washington University. She has previously interned for the Office of Congressman Joaquin Castro (TX-20) and the district office of Congressman Salud Carbajal (CA-24). She is a graduate of California Polytechnic University, where she received her BA in Political Science with minors in Ethics, Public Policy, Science, and Technology, and Women and Gender Studies.

Gauri Girirajan
Summer 2025 Research Intern
School: University of Maryland
Program: MS in Applied Political Analytics (May 2026)
Hometown: Rockville, MD
Gauri is completing her Master of Science in Applied Political Analytics at the University of Maryland, where she also earned her BA in International Relations with minors in Geographic Information Sciences and International Development and Conflict Management. Prior to joining PRRI, she served as an Engagement Intern at Greater Greater Washington, where she supported community-focused policy initiatives.

Reagan Klein

Majors: International Studies and French Studies
Hometown: Fairfield, CT
Reagan is a rising junior at Washington College, where she majors in International Studies and French Studies, with a concentration in Peace and Conflict Studies. She has previously interned for First Selectwoman Brenda Kupchick and with the Fairfield County Democratic Party.
