Watch the Panel Discussion on PRRI’s New Report at C-SPAN
If you didn’t get a chance to tune in on C-SPAN for this morning’s panel discussion, launching the Public Religion Research Institute’s new survey and report, “What it Means to Be American: Attitudes in an Increasingly Diverse America Ten Years After 9/11,” then this is your lucky day. A video of the event is available on C-SPAN’s website for you to watch at your leisure. The report is, naturally, available on our website.
This exciting piece of research, written in partnership with the Brookings Institution, is based on a new survey from PRRI which explores views of America ten years after September 11th, attitudes towards Islam and American Muslims, attitudes towards immigrants and immigration reform, and the implications of these findings for the future of American pluralism. The video includes commentary from two academic leading lights, Professor Jose Casanova, who teaches sociology at Georgetown, and Professor Muqtedar Khan, who teaches political science and international relations at the University of Delaware. Needless to say, it’s well worth a watch.
